Top Gear Team Inks Deal For New Show With Amazon Video

After a rocky start to 2015, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are shifting gears. The Top Gear trio have signed a three-year deal to host a new motoring show for Amazon's streaming service, Amazon Prime.

The news has been met with mixed reactions from Top Gear fans. Some are merely happy to see their favourite gearheads back in action, while others are frustrated that the show will be available exclusively to Amazon Prime customers.

The unnamed new program will be U.K. based, though it will include on-location shoots around the world in addition to studio sequences. Episodes will be an hour long, with 12 episodes in each of the three seasons. The team hopes to begin filming next year and air in autumn 2016.
