It's been 26 years since Spike Lee's provocative Do the Right Thing hit the big screen and brilliantly captured a slice of life in Brooklyn. NYC's hippest borough has changed a lot in those decades, so Jimmy Kimmel took it upon himself to create an updated sequel to the iconic film.
Appropriately titled Do The White Thing, Kimmel's take on Lee spoofs Brooklyn's gentrification. This Brooklyn features vinyl-loving hipsters, shoutouts to kale and quinoa, thrift shop clothes and cast members from Girls.
Familiar faces make appearances throughout the clip. Billy Crudup, Zooey Deschanel, Rami Malek, Andrew Rannels and Mark Duplass all have roles. An original cast member even makes a surprise cameo. Watch above to see how many Brooklyn cliches can be crammed into 5 minutes.
