Ain't nothing like some Netflix and chill to get you through 2016 or at least, the rest of the working week.
According to Complex, about 450 scripted TV shows were made last year and streamed all around the world via Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. If you were finding it hard to choose between House of Cards and Orange Is The New Black, this year isn't going to get any easier for you with a fresh batch of binge-worthy series to get stuck into.
You can't watch them all, but you can at least plan and prioritise your couch time. Here are our picks for the most anticipated TV shows you'll be watching in 2016.
#1 11.22.63
Based on the Stephen King novel, 11.22.63 follows high school teacher Jake Epping, played by James Franco, who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Epping's mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love, and the past itself, which doesn't want to be changed.

#2 Billions
U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) goes after hedge fund king, Bobby 'Axe' Axelrod (played by Homeland's Damian Lewis) in a battle between two powerful New York Figures.

#3 Daredevil
Starring Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio and Deborah Ann Woll, Marvel's Daredevil is back for another season following a blind lawyer who with other senses superhumanly enhanced, fights crime as a costumed superhero.

#4 Love
Created by Judd Apatow, Love stars Community babe Gillian Jacobs and follows a couple who must navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment and other things they were hoping to avoid.

#5 X-Files
It's been 13 years since the original X-Files series ran on TV and in the next chapter, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return to their iconic roles. The six-episode series will encompass a mixture of stand-alone episodes and those that further the original show's seminal mythology.

#6 Mr. Robot
Mr. Robot, starring up-and-comer Rami Malek, follows a young computer programmer who suffers from social anxiety disorder and forms connections through hacking. He's recruited by a mysterious anarchist, who calls himself Mr. Robot.

#7 American Crime Story: The People V. OJ Simpson
The People V. OJ Simpsonstarts off with the night of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in 1994, taking viewers through the infamous Bronco chase watched live by 100 million people, the “trial of the century” and ending with the verdict. Selma Blair will play Kris Jenner; David Schwimmer is cast as Robert Kardashian Sr; Paulson's playing prosecutor Marcia Clark; and John Travolta is Robert Shapiro.

#8 Preacher
Preacher is held by comic book fans as the greatest series of all time and is now being translated into a TV series by none other than funny man Seth Rogan. After a supernatural event at his church a preacher enlists the help of a vampire to find god.

#9 Luke Cage
Luke Cage makes his own debut from first appearing in Marvel's Netflix series Jessica Jones in an upcoming series bearing the comic book character's name. Given super strength and durability by a sabotaged experiment, a wrongly accused escapes prison to become a superhero for hire.

#10 Vinyl
Olivia Wilde and Bobby Cannavale appear in the upcoming sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll HBO series, Vinyl, following a New York music executive in the 70's and his hustle to make a career out of the city's diverse music scene.

#11 Atlanta
Atlanta follows ambitious college dropout Earnest 'Earn' Marks (played by Donald Glover AKA Childish Gambino) and his estranged cousin Alfred who have different views on art versus commerce and are on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene.

#12 Baskets
After failing at a prestigious French clowning college, Chip Baskets (played by Zach Galifianakis) looks to keep his dream of becoming a professional clown alive. Baskets is the brainchild of Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Portlandia exec producer Jonathan Krisel so is guaranteed to get weird, awkward and downright hilarious.

#13 The Night Manager
Old school friends Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston and Tom Hollander star in The Night Manager, a new series in which a night manager of a European hotel is recruited by intelligence agents to infiltrate an international arms dealer's network.

#14 Westworld
Inspired by the 1973 film of the same name, Westworld stars James Marsden, Anthony Hopkins and Evan Rachel Wood and is about a futuristic theme park populated by artificial beings.

#15 The Get Down
From Aussie director Baz Luhrmann comes The Get Down, a musical drama Netflix series about a rag tag group of teenagers who run wild in the streets of the Bronx during the late 70's.
