Adidas Sickline 2015 To Take Place In The Formidable Wellerbrüke Rapids

This October welcomes the 8th annual Adidas Sickline Kayak World Championship, taking place on the legendary 'Wellerbrüke' river section in Austria's Oetztal Valley.

Between the 1st and 3rd of October of this year, the world's finest whitewater kayakers compete to win the highly sought-after world championship belt. This year, kayakers will be thrown into the Wellerbrüke rapids, a famous section of the glacier-fed Ötztaler Ache river known for it's technically difficult and dangerous conditions.

The 280-metre long racecourse demands everything in terms of skill and fitness from the athletes and while it's physically grievious, many competitors are returning this year to claim the winning spot.

2014 winner Joe Morley (UK) is back this year to try and conquer his third consecutive title, as well as 23-year-old Nouria Newman (France), known as the best extreme paddler in the world, who will return to defend her title after dominating the women's field last year.
